I will admit that it has been a long time since I bothered to set foot in an actual church, let alone needed to. I suppose I only did so today out of curiosity to see what something as willless as the drones would preach on. I was unsurprised to see the focus was on the book of the law, where God is proclaimed to be jealous in one verse and then loving a few verses later.

Tell me. What is your opinion on God? Not merely if you believe in him, but do you consider his existence something to care about? And if I were to give evidence to you that it did, indeed, exist, would that change your opinion at all?

Because I had underestimated mankind, though I had great reason to do so.

They had failed each other time the test I had prepared had been presented before them, despite the assistance given to them by my siblings.

They were given the chance to return to their homeland of Lost Jerusalem, or Earth. If they failed the test, I would be forced to restart time back to the Creation in order to stop the inevitable collapse of reality.

Why did they have to take a test if they just wanted to go home?

Not entirely. Think of it as erasing everything that had happened before entirely, but they would return at the right time.

They needed to prove their were worthy and had the right to regain what they'd lost.
