Regains: Possessions

The Compass of Chaos and Order - An ancient artifact connected to Wilhelm that increases his ability to see into the minds of others and provides him a very limited version of omniscience.

Regains: Powers

Telepathy - Being a representative of the Collective Unconscious, Wilhelm possesses the ability to speak with others through a connection to their consciousness/minds.

Telekinesis - Considering his nature, Wilhelm possesses a very strong form of telekinesis. While he uses it sparingly, he's extraordinarily powerful with it.

Collective Unconscious Connection Level One - With this rank of connection to the collective unconscious, Wilhelm is capable of knowing who and what a person is, as well as their basic history as their mind interprets it

There is a good chance that, due to how obscure his canon is, many people don't know who Wilhelm is. In his universe, Wilhelm is a being created by the collective unconscious of humanity to protect them from the eventual decline and stagnation of the universe. He is, in no small terms, a conglomeration of the psychic energy of not just all mankind, but every sentient creature that has ever existed, and power-wise he is near the status of a demi-god.

Considering this, Wilhelm's powers, once he starts regaining them, are incredibly impressive. He possesses the knowledge to identify who and what someone is, as well as peering into their conscious (basically mind reading), as well as the power to assert physical and mental control over someone. The way these powers are being handled is that is' assumed the longer Wilhelm stays in Mayfield, the more he becomes entwined in the collective unconscious of the people there, and thus begins regaining his powers through the regains the town gives.

The thing is, many of Wilhelm's powers could be considered god-moding, despite the fact that they will be cut down considerably in power either way. He's also a considerable meddler in people's lives, considering the fact that he believes it his duty to guide mankind. Thus, I'm putting up a permissions post to see who'd be willing to go through some of Wilhelm's schemes and powers when he regains them.

PERMISSIONS;
Character Name: This is pretty self-explanatory.
Canon: What series is your character from?
Race: What are you? Human? Alien? ect. Even if you're a race that only exists in your canon, put that here.
Power(s): What can your character do? How powerful are they?
How much about you is Wilhelm allowed to know: How much personal info will you say Wilhelm is allowed to know about you once he regains his power to dive into people's unconscious?
Is Wilhelm Allowed to Meddle In your Life: Do you mind if Wilhelm takes interest in you and begins to meddle in your life as he receives his powers back?
Can Wilhelm Mind/Physically Control You: Once Wilhelm gets his powers of mind control and physical command back, is he allowed to use them on your character?
Misc: Any other notes you want to add about your character.

It should also be noted that, due to his nature as a supernatural being, Wilhelm is naturally going to have an easier time identifying another supernatural/paranormal creature. Being an outside force himself that's trying to influence humanity, he's going to identify others that might be outside influences. On the other hand, there's a good chance other supernatural creatures may have a better sense of what he is as well. Not his exactly role, but that he's not a human and that there's something supernatural about him.

Thank you for your time!

Hey there folks, this is just a how's my driving to see how you think I'm doing playing Wilhelm. Please feel free to drop me a line or tell me if there is any plotting you'd like to do with me around him and your character. Thank you.

[Wilhelm's first thought at waking up in yet another place unfamiliar to him made him fear that he had been droned and brought to a new house yet again. He was slightly relieved to find that wasn't the case, or at least that he had not been droned for two long, when he awoke to find himself on the other side of the bed from Letty. So still the same household. Supposedly.

Quietly, he got out of the bed to inspect the room, and frowned. All the trappings of it suggested a hotel, and he had an idea of what was occurring. He had been spared the same event from last year, although he knew about it. It would seem this year, he wouldn't be allowed to get away.

...Or maybe not. It was a long shot, but he could attempt to teleport out of the room, and come back for Letty. If he could just-

No. It becomes apparent quickly that it's beyond his power to leave the room by any means, and he simply glares at the door for a moment before going over to Letty and gently nudging her.]

[There's really nothing quite like regaining part of your powers over space and time after being without them for so long. Honestly, Wilhelm hadn't expected to be as pleased to have regained them as he is. But he's in fact near delighted, although it'd be hard to tell that from the simple, small smile he has at the age of his lips as he experiments with the power that's been returned to him.

This time? It's teleportation.]

A. Around Town; Action

[You might notice there's a man on top of some of the buildings as you go about your business in town today. He doesn't really seem to be doing anything, just observing the people walking below from on top of the house or building he's currently on. Or occasionally from a top one of the telephone polls.

Sometimes, he'll give a small wave and greeting to those who pass by. Feel free to talk with him, if you want.]

B. Outside 841 Hastings; Action

[Teleporting himself was one thing. Even despite the constraints the human body he was trapped in seemed to have on his use of his powers, to change himself was no great bother.

To affect other things, however? That was a different question

If you're passing by, feel free to notice the man staring rather intently at the car in front of his house. Or, that is, the car that was in front of his house, as in a blink of an eye it disappears from being in front of his own home and is now across the street. Now it's down the street. Now it's resting on top of another car, not crushing it, but gently perched, as if they were Hot Wheels cars and a child had decided to put one on top of the other.

Wilhelm's gaze never leaves the cars.]

C. Phone

[Today over the phones, you might here soft piano melody like this one come over the phone lines. It goes on for a little while, the player completely silent until he's finished the relatively short piece.]

A good day to you all. I've found the music here, while some ingenious and made during the time period, might have become dull for those trapped here for a good deal of time.

I hope I might have broken up the monotony of the music usually played here. It's a wasted day, when one may not be able to enjoy music.

[It wasn't a surprise, per se, that the milk was bad news, but after seeing Mao's bizarre delusion on Tuesday as well as getting gunned down by a hallucinating Yuna later that day, as well as the calls going out about it, it was clear the milk had some pretty horrific side effects. And, having been made the father of the household, this meant that it was Wilhelm's duty to protect those under his roof from said effects.

And that's precisely what he meant to do.

For the following three days of the event, although not on the last day, Wilhelm will be getting up early enough to try and intercept anyone else from getting the milk and drinking it himself. The results, and interactions with him, are as follows.]

For as wonderful as mankind is, as talented and powerful as you are? There are times when you sicken me.

Your race has one of the greatest gifts of all: the potential for personal growth. To become more then a sum of your parts. This is a gift few things possess; most must stay as they are, and have always been? But you? All things you might want could eventually be within your reach because of this potential.

And yet, so few of you actually move towards it, grasp it, make it yours. You're far happier with simply allowing others of your race, a select few, do the movement for you and reaping those benefits, when every man could in the end make a difference if they but tried.

It's quite frustrating to watch.

[Feel free to notice Wilhelm casually going through the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen, as if he's taking stock of everything in them.

Once in awhile, one of the drawers or cabinets will slowly open without Wilhelm touching it, and it will always be the one Wilhelm will check next.

Feel free to bother him as he goes about this bizarre task.]

[Phone]

I will assume that you have all decided to confess things about your pasts and feelings to one another through the phones based not on a decision of free will, but the towns usual manipulation. That being the case, I will attempt to take comfort in the knowledge that so little can change after being droned for four months.

[No, that is not bitterness in his voice, at all.]

I will also hope that there are those of you here wise enough to realize that actions in the past, while relevant, are not the end all of judging a persons' character. If you had enjoyed the presence of a person before you knew their secrets, should the secrets truly change how you feel about them?

There is also the presence of three people I wish to inquire about. One is a young man who simultaneously calls himself Yeshua or chaos, depending on his mood. The other is a cat, named Nall. Or at least a being that appears to be as such. Finally, I'm curious about the location of a young man named Calleo Crowe.

If you know any of them I would appreciate to know their current situation. Or, if they are listening, I would appreciate hearing from them.

Got two choices on how most of you can interact with Wilhelm today Mayfield

A. Hope you Like Telepathy

[Wilhelm can be found around several places in town today. In the park, at a restaurant or outside some of the business, or occasionally browsing through the library. Really, he just seems to be an unassuming gentleman going about his day.

But eventually, you'll hear a voice. And it doesn't seem to be a spoken one. Rather, it's like a feeling, something being broadcast within you.]

~Can you hear me?~

[Will you answer?]

B. Phone

After my months of imprisonment here along with you, I've come to a train of thought I'm sure that many of the rest of you have had as well. To me, while not the only answer it seems to be the most logical one for a variety of reasons I'll spare listing at the moment. But, what I have to say, I suppose, is a riddle of sorts. And I'd like to know your responses.

What would be your reaction if you were to find that the face you were born with was not solely your own?

C. Locked to Theta

[Hey Theta, guess who's heard you've been reset and is currently knocking on your door.]

There are three options for interacting with Wilhelm today.

A. Staring. STAAARIING.

[As you go about your business today, you might find Wilhelm as several of the places you go to. He might be sitting at a bench in the park, or reading in the library, or stopping to eat for lunch. And even if you never met him before...he might seem oddly familiar now. And if you have met him before, you have a hard time telling exactly how long you've known Wilhelm. Because for some reason, it now feels like you've known him longer then you should have.

And if he happens to notice you looking at him? He'll just look back. And smile.

You may not know him, but he definitely gives off the air that he knows you.]

B. Releasing his Inner Child

[Feel free to find Wilhelm sitting on the front step of his house. Considering some of the snow still remains, and he's yet to be given a new job by the town after losing his position in the library he must have some way to entertain himself.

There's a ball of snow rolling across the ground, as if moved by invisible fingers. And it continues to grow, and grow, and grow, until it reaches the proper size Wilhelm desires. And he continues to do this twice more, eventually stacking each ball on top of the other.

He's never made a snowman before. He must admit, it is moderately entertaining.

Occasionally, a drone passes by, and Wilhelm seems to immediately stiffen, to concentrate, the one eye he has remaining narrowing for a moment. And he does this until the drone leaves, and then the tension leaves his body. And he looks much more disappointed before he goes back to his previous work.]

C. Phone

For each person, there is said to be at least one, if not more, defining trait. And it is that trait, or that ability, or that belief, which makes us who we are. Which is our primary mode of defining ourselves. And sometimes, we do not realize just how much that trait defines us until it is stripped from us.

I'm curious. What are your defining traits, Mayfield? What is it that defines the essence of you?

Failing to make any move in what they've given us with the ballet will only hurt ourselves, in my opinion. It's better to make a move then to let the opportunity for one be wasted.

And yes. I voted myself.

It would seem this town has seen fit to yet again drone me. While having my will stripped away from me is always something I fail to relish, it would appear I missed whatever catastrophe that was deemed necessary to fall on us during my droning.

Anyone care to explain?

[Today, Wilhelm can be found lounging on one of the benches in the park, a large pile of leaves having apparently gathered in front of him. However, it's very rare when they're just sitting in a pile.

Most of the time, they're up and flying in the air. But not due to the wind. The movements made by the leaves seem far too deliberate to be cause by simply being blown. Nor does there seem to be any physical force moving them.

It starts slowly. One leaf jumps into the air, and then floats down. And that process repeats a few times. Eventually, the leaves jump up and then hang, their fall interrupted entirely. And then the few leaves hanging becomes the entire pile hanging in the air. Just staying there, like a pillar, for a moment.

And then they dance. They dance like a feverish whirlwind. Usually, it appears as if the leaves are just spinning in place, not making anything in particular. But sometimes, they take shape. Forming buildings, animals, human figures. But these forms only last momentarily before the leaves disperse and spin in place again.

Wilhelm, for his part, simply watches. And smiles.]

[Wilhelm wasn't initially aware there was anything off about the day until he noticed that his mattress had been covered in blood. That was the first sign he needed to show him that he'd be droned, as he could imagine what had happened. The second was seeing the days marked off on his calendar.

So he had been droned. How odd. He couldn't say he particularly remembered the experience, unfortunately. But he supposed he'd make up for lost time. You can find Wilhelm in the following situations.]

A. Wilhelm will just be walking around town at the moment, deciding to take an "off" day from work. He'd rather like to actually see the town. It's something he's somewhat neglected to do.
B. At the grocery store. Yet again, he seems to be trying to purchase something to make yet another attempt at cooking.
C. [Phone - Filtered from all the drones/Grady/The Mayor/ect.]

Quite an interesting piece of literature we've been given recently, isn't it? And, like all interesting - not great, but interesting - pieces of literature, it elicits discussion.

I'm curious as to what your theories are about the Neurological Emulation Construction. Specifically, I'm curious if anyone else believes it isn't believes it isn't referring to the town itself?

For a long time, I believed that that which might serve as a font of knowledge might serve as a means of growth. That through education, and exploration, and self-examination, mankind might grow into something truly great.

This was a foolish notion.

No matter what information is presented before mankind, they will always choose poorly. Will never learn. Will never listen. Never grow. At least, not because of information. There is, instead, a far simpler answer.

The strong survive, the weak perish.

And I shall put all of you to this test.

[Hi Mayfield, guess who got a sour candy? Feel free to talk with Wilhelm over the phone. Or, if that isn't your cup of tea, you'll be finding him using his telekinesis to cause havoc around town. See those lampposts outside your house? That shits coming down and through your window. See those cars? Fuck those bitches, Wilhelm's going to tear that shit apart.

Have fun playing with him, if you'd like.]

Death.

For how often we deal with it, I wonder how many truly understand it. I do not mean that as a statement of condescension, not for all of you, at least. But this town presents a rather tactless, if not incorrect, view and form of it.

For one, death is not a punishment. Death is merely another link in the cycle of creation, and attempts to use it or view it as a form of punishment are exceedingly faulty. And are, in fact, laughable. All things, in the end, die.

Secondly, death is not to be feared. When I say that, I do not mean caution should not be taken against dangerous situations. Nor do I mean there shouldn't be anxiety, or even some fear, when death is near. But to be overwhelmed by terror at the thought of it is to give in to an inexcusable tactic. Again, we all die. It is something we must come to accept.Which leads to the final point.

Death is not an ending. No one ever truly dies. Not just here, where they force us into the chains of mortal flesh again and again, but anywhere. Mankind is beyond merely a body. And there is more that waits after the body is shed.

Our captors demonstrate, in their use of violence and the way they view death and rebirth, that they're fools. Petty. Idiotic children babbling and threatening a concept they have no real understanding on.

Do not let yourselves be intimidate by them, or fear them. They are hardly deserving of fear. And you people are more fearsome then they are. Your wills shine so brightly.

Don't be broken by them.

[And the call ends. Wilhelm will now be looking around his house for Jr, Nall, and chaos (though he's already spoken with him once since respawning).]
