I will admit that it has been a long time since I bothered to set foot in an actual church, let alone needed to. I suppose I only did so today out of curiosity to see what something as willless as the drones would preach on. I was unsurprised to see the focus was on the book of the law, where God is proclaimed to be jealous in one verse and then loving a few verses later.

Tell me. What is your opinion on God? Not merely if you believe in him, but do you consider his existence something to care about? And if I were to give evidence to you that it did, indeed, exist, would that change your opinion at all?

You pose an interesting question, and to be honest I'm not too sure how to answer.

In my world, I suppose I am the 'God.' And I do believe that I'm real. If, in this world, they worship a god, who am I to say he doesn't exist?

A god created the world and gave it life. If you owe your life to someone, doesn't that warrant praise?

I wouldn't be very happy if no one even thanked me for using so much power to do such a large feat.

Mmm. But why did he, or she, or perhaps in your case, you, create? Did you do it solely that those who you gave life to would praise you?

And, what if, a god created the world, but did so unintentionally?

To be honest, I'm, uh, not actually sure. Religion isn't practiced that much anymore where I'm from, so God isn't something I've really thought about before.

But, um, that's not to say I don't think he could exist; I mean, I’ve heard about and spoken to those whose existence would seem unlikely, but they do exist. So if there is evidence of God, either here or anywhere else, I wouldn’t really be that surprised.

No, there are still those that do practice religion, it's just, ummm, those who practice it are the ones who have the knowledge of it, I guess.

Hmmm, I would care, but it wouldn't change how I live. In the end, I would ask him tons of questions but I would still continue living as I did before.

There are many descriptions of him. Ain Soph, The Immovable Mover, El Shaddai, Yahweh, The Lord of Lords and King of Kings.

But I suppose even I have had a fondness for the innocent statement of referring to him as living in the sky.

I was hoping to see if there would ever be anything other than a balancing act between fear and love for that which is perceived to be greater than them.

Such is the nature of those with no power to claim as their own. Beings of greater power, be they god or merely mortals that have reached a higher level, inspire reverence from those beneath them even as the weaker masses fear what may be done with the power they stand no hope of holding for themselves.
