Einundzwanzig - Action/Phone
Jan. 12th, 2011 04:11 pm[Good day citizens of Mayfield. Today, you're going to wake up to a brief feeling of something being off. At first it's unpleasant, a bizarre pushing feeling at the back of your mind. It'd be easy to imagine as if you were a puzzle, and someone was trying to jam a piece in the wrong spot, unrelenting. Until, finally, the piece is forced to fit and they subside from their attempt.
You almost think suddenly of a man's face during the initially pushing feeling, but it leaves just as suddenly. If you're psyshic, however, the image of the face might cling a bit longer. And even when it does fade, the initially unease you awoke to today doesn't leave. Decreases in strength, perhaps.
But it never fully leaves.]
There are three options for interacting with Wilhelm today.
A. Staring. STAAARIING.
[As you go about your business today, you might find Wilhelm as several of the places you go to. He might be sitting at a bench in the park, or reading in the library, or stopping to eat for lunch. And even if you never met him before...he might seem oddly familiar now. And if you have met him before, you have a hard time telling exactly how long you've known Wilhelm. Because for some reason, it now feels like you've known him longer then you should have.
And if he happens to notice you looking at him? He'll just look back. And smile.
You may not know him, but he definitely gives off the air that he knows you.]
B. Releasing his Inner Child
[Feel free to find Wilhelm sitting on the front step of his house. Considering some of the snow still remains, and he's yet to be given a new job by the town after losing his position in the library he must have some way to entertain himself.
There's a ball of snow rolling across the ground, as if moved by invisible fingers. And it continues to grow, and grow, and grow, until it reaches the proper size Wilhelm desires. And he continues to do this twice more, eventually stacking each ball on top of the other.
He's never made a snowman before. He must admit, it is moderately entertaining.
Occasionally, a drone passes by, and Wilhelm seems to immediately stiffen, to concentrate, the one eye he has remaining narrowing for a moment. And he does this until the drone leaves, and then the tension leaves his body. And he looks much more disappointed before he goes back to his previous work.]
C. Phone
For each person, there is said to be at least one, if not more, defining trait. And it is that trait, or that ability, or that belief, which makes us who we are. Which is our primary mode of defining ourselves. And sometimes, we do not realize just how much that trait defines us until it is stripped from us.
I'm curious. What are your defining traits, Mayfield? What is it that defines the essence of you?
[OOC: Wilhelm has regained his connection to the collective unconscious as his regain. For details of, and a permission post for, this power, see here: http://repeatsalvation.livejournal.com/7307.html]

Date: 2011-01-12 10:40 pm (UTC)She's brought along a bottle of wine and...one of her regains. Roachi she had from earlier and is perched on her shoulder, but tucked into the basket next to the bottle is a small, battered play script. It looks very well-read and can only be one thing--The Doctor's Wife, her very own copy from home. She stops when she sees the partially made snowman and smiles, though the expression is just a little bit strained.]
Good day.

Date: 2011-01-12 11:20 pm (UTC)[She answers with what she's been doing, but pointedly avoids the topic of how. She considers it to be self-evident--not very well at all, and still feeling like she's standing in the middle of debris from her mind as it shatters around her. She holds the basket out to him.]
I brought you something...

Date: 2011-01-12 11:24 pm (UTC)Ah. I'd been wanting to read it since you told me about it.

Ah, I'm alright I guess. Can't complain. [This is... mostly true, at the moment.]

Date: 2011-01-12 11:48 pm (UTC)[He takes the paper, though he doesn't really bother looking at it.]
You deserve a downtime more then most people, considering all you've helped accomplish, especially recently.
